Gary Rhodes and Brendan Shearman Join Lee County Bar Association Foundation Board of Directors
Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., proudly announces that attorneys Gary Rhodes and Brendan Shearman were recently sworn in as members of the Lee County Bar Association Foundation (LCBAF) Board of Directors.
The LCBAF’s mission is to foster access to justice, support charitable initiatives, and promote legal education within the community. Its efforts include providing scholarships, educating the public about the law, encouraging youth engagement, and supporting charitable endeavors that benefit underserved populations. As board members, Rhodes and Shearman will work to advance these goals and ensure the Foundation continues to positively impact Lee County.
Rhodes is a stockholder and litigator who focuses on resolving complex business disputes, including matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, partnership dissolution, and landlord/tenant issues. Known for his honest and passionate representation, he combines a client-centered approach with creative problem-solving to challenging circumstances. Recognized as a “Top Lawyer” in Business Litigation by Naples Illustrated in 2024, Rhodes’ fresh perspective and strategic thinking have earned him the trust and respect of clients and colleagues.

Shearman is an associate who focuses his practice on tort and insurance litigation, navigating cases involving personal injury and other civil litigation matters. He also chairs Henderson Franklin’s United Way Pacesetter Campaign Committee. Recognized by Naples Illustrated as a “Top Lawyer” in 2024, he has established himself as a trusted advocate within the legal community.
Shearman shares, “As I was born and raised in Fort Myers, I’m excited to play a role in supporting individuals and organizations throughout Lee County.” He received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and then achieved his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, cum laude.
